Easy Homemade Teriyaki Sauce (Better Than Store-Bought!)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 TBSP Corn Starch
  • 1 Garlic Clove minced
  • 1/2 TBSP Fresh Ginger grated
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 TBSP Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 TBSP Rice Vinegar

Method
 

  1. Mix Together the Cornstarch and Water in a Small Bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients into a sauce pan. Add in the cornstarch and water mixture and stir.
  3. Bring to a gentle simmer on medium heat stirring frequently. Cook until the sauce thickens and is a darker brown.
  4. Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and serve. Sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.

Notes

Note: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
